While today’s health care debate has revealed deep divides over reform, nearly everyone can agree that there is waste, fraud and abuse in the current health care system.
 
One tactic that insurers can use to improve their reputations and strengthen member relationships is to develop an enhanced Explanation of Benefits (EOB). A clear, effective EOB will engage members, improve perceptions of their insurers, and gain active participation in the effort to control health care costs while detecting fraud and abuse.
